The Current.com toolbar comes with four different options to choose from at any time. Here is a quick overview of each one:

// Current //

This is a dropdown menu with the following options:

1/ Home: select this to visit the Current.com home page.

2/ Account Settings: select this to edit your account settings on Current.com.

3/ Refresh: this option will refresh the toolbar and update the last 10 items that you or your friends have posted.

// Make it Current //

When you find something you’d like to contribute to Current.com, click on Make it Current.
A dropdown should appear with the options to either "Choose media from this page" or "Select a region from this page."

Choosing Media

When you select "Choose media from this page" the toolbar will highlight any potential photos or video on the page. Click on the one you wish to use, and it will be selected. You will be re-directed to the clipper tool on Current.com with the URL, Title, and Media from the story you clipped. Add a description, give the story some tags, and credit anyone that helped make the story possible. You can also share the story with your connections. Click submit and your contribution will post to Current.com.

Selecting a Region

When you opt to select a region, a re-sizable cropping tool will appear on the page. You can resize it as you see fit, selecting any combination of text and images that meet your needs. When you are finished, click on the "use this!" button, and a screenshot of your selection will be made. You will be re-directed to the clipper tool on Current.com with the URL, Title, and screenshot you clipped. Add a description, give the story some tags, and credit anyone that helped make the story possible. You can also share the story with your connections. Click submit and your contribution will post to Current.com.

// Friends //

This dropdown shows the last 10 items, comments, or votes posted by the people you are connected to on Current.com. You can jump immediately to these posts, and if you've viewed all 10, you can refresh the toolbar to get the most recent posts added.

// Mine //

This dropdown menu shows you the last 10 things you've posted on Current.com. You can jump immediately to these posts, and if you've viewed all 10, you can refresh the toolbar to get the most recent posts added.

This is a space for an open conversation between you and other people with interests and passions in this company or organization. Sometimes representatives from the company or organization may take part in the conversation too.

This is a place for real people to get the most from their products and services, and for companies to get real with their customers. It isn't a collection of generic responses, but rather a community that collaborates on answers, solutions and ideas through conversation.

The community here isn't owned by any one person, company or organization. It is brought to life through the care and feeding of all the participants.
