In Firefox, only left clicks on the link at the bottom of a note are counted towards the number of views.
Right clicks and control/command clicks are ignored.
Similarly, when viewing a video inline in Firefox, this is not registered by Pownce.
(Tested on Xubuntu and Mac OS X.)
I visited my page many times without logging in, and no notes were public. Today I disabled Fire Eagle and all my preexisting notes went public! I set it so that all future notes default to friends only. And the few I've made since have worked properly. How can I switch the privacy on all my existing notes without deleting them?
I tried emailing this but no reply, so will try this path..
I run a site called twitterfeed.com which lets users post RSS updates to twitter. As far as I can make out, pownce blocks requests to pownce RSS feeds coming from my domain (just a simple wget from the domain times out, while from other machines it always works).
I had a similar issue with del.icio.us, who have now helpfully whitelisted the twitterfeed.com domain/IP addresses - any chance someone at pownce could take a look at this, and hopefully do something similar?
Pownce doesn't render special HTML characters correctly (like &'s and ...'s and %'s and etc)
I posted via the AIR app, but it seems to be a problem all the way through Pownce online.
After canceling my Pownce account, I continue to get e-mails that people have posted new website links! Perhaps if the accounts were to be DELETED, this might not happen.. but I just want to stop getting e-mails. I can't log in to my account, of course, because it has been disabled... but please stop the e-mails!
I have adobe air 1.0 installed. i tried downloading pownce desktop 2.0 and my mac automatically unzips it into a folder instead of using air to install it. is there a workaround or am I just SOL. I also tried installing air 3 beta. Same results.
When I try to log in through Firefox, I get a "enable cookies and try again" error box. I have cookies enabled; I never get this problem with other sites. However, when I try logging in with the same password in Safari, I get through on my first try.
Newbie here. Just joined Pownce not long ago. I don't see a facility to be able to Delete Messages or Notes sent to me by someone else / another user. Is it possible, or has it not been implemented in pownce yet ?
How do I properly add my Ning profile to my social network listing? For example, when I'm logged in at ning on my site it shows me as http://sitename.ning.com/Profile/shor..., what do I enter to get it to work? (I've tried just the shorthandle and also the numeric userid, neither seem to work.)
Since I'm a featured user, I've got a lot of friends requests and a lot of subscribers. I know that subscribtions have been set up for people who are kind of afraid by the "friendship" notion.
But sometimes these people are really interesting, and the only way to see what they post is to browse the entire list of fans.
By adding a link to the Pownce page of the subscriber, it will be an easy way to access his notes and add him (and it could reduce the time I spend on browse the entire list of fans). Now, The e-mail only displays the name of the guy who has subscribed...
