Twitter's initial list of friends
Is the initial list of friends on a profile page a seniority ordered list? Am I correct in that this is the third iteration of this list? 1st by Full-name, 2nd by username, 3rd by joined date?

Inappropriate?We had to make a change to this for performance reasons. It's now in a not-particularly usefully sorted order.
After we get some of the site performance issues under control, we'll switch it back to a more useful format.

Inappropriate?I like this ordering, but that's because I'm:
a) Wicked old-school (user number 761)
b) First-name-alphabetically-challenged!
c) egotistical enough to want to appear on my followers' lists -
Inappropriate?It would be interesting -- and I think more useful -- to sort by affinity (e.g., tweets back and forth, intersection of social graphs, etc.). Of course, like Rod, as an early registrant, the current system works just fine for me. :)
